In February and early March, we are still locked tightly in the grips of winter.  Many of us are now dreaming, planning, waiting for signs of spring; the days growing longer, the temperature getting higher, so ready to get our hands in the dirt and our toes in the grass.

As always, the busy pace created by the over stimulating lives we live has so many out of touch with the rhythm of the earth; the light and the sounds.  If we stop and notice – spring is just around the corner and it is a time of awakening, of healing and renewal, of the dawning and planting of new ideas.  This season, is a time to free yourself from the things that hold you back.

Yin Yoga is the dark to the light of yoga –  it is the balance we crave.  Just as the Spring Equinox brings us a day of equal dark and light; so does the practice of Yin Yoga.  The drum provides the heartbeat of this healing – and songs match the vibration of our energies.  Our Spring Equinox Yin, Drum & Song will provide you with an opportunity to heal and renew, to nurture and grow the seeds of self-care planted in the fall and watch new ideas and habits begin to bloom. This is what spring has always been; a time of reconciliation and rejuvenation.

Jamie DeKoning of Little Lights Yoga will guide you through a Spring Equinox practice.  We will focus on liver and gallbladder – the organs connected to Spring.  This is the inner and outer leg lines, chest and sides of your body.  Dean Johnson  will accompany Jamie with his healing drum and indigenous songs… the songs of  nature, the heartbeat of the earth, songs to raise your vibration and not only release what no longer serves you but move you into action with the vibrant spring.  The evening will be capped off with a sharing circle; completing this evening of healing with a circle of community.
FRIDAY, March 25th 7:00 to 9:00 (ish)
