EVENT CANCELLED DUE TO A MEDICAL EMERGENCY.  SORRY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE.

We are both honoured and humbled to bring once again, Yin Yoga with Indigenous Teachings on Friday, October 18. This 2.5 hour class will feature three parts, a smudge ceremony, yin yoga with indigenous music, drums and rattles and a sharing circle.

In our ever growing fast moving culture we are losing the depth of connections with our community, different cultures and even with ourselves. Yin yoga is an advocate for connecting to our bodies and listening to its inner wisdom. Everything starts from within. Reconnect with ourselves so we can connect out.

Indigenous Cultures have used traditional medicines to smudge, the cleansing smoke is used to balance energies as well as to heal the mind, body and spirit.

We will be guided by local Traditional Helpers who will share with us the history and best practices of using this medicine. Next, Jamie de Koning will guide us through a yin yoga practice to deepen our connection with ourselves and community. While we are holding these floor based shapes we will feel the beat of the drum and rattles through our whole bodies. Next, we will hold space for a sharing circle.
