The objective of Hatha 101 will be to help participants build strength and endurance, increase flexibility, and improve posture and balance. Perfect for beginners, mid-life and older adults who may benefit from a slower pace. Students will be encouraged to use props such as blocks or bolsters to ensure their practice is both comfortable and accessible. We want students to find the right modifications to suit their body’s needs.
Breath work, relaxation and meditation practices are included to encourage stress reduction.
Class sizes are small, instruction is approachable, fun & safe. Belem Hernandez is an experienced Yogi and Yoga Instructor. Her background largely includes a 10+ Massage Therapy career…. bringing this experience and her own personal struggle with injury makes her the perfect guide for those just coming to Yoga.
