    7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

As always, the busy pace created by the over stimulating lives we live has so many out of touch with the rhythm of the earth; the light and the sounds.  If we stop and notice – Autumn is here and it is a time of inner-reflection, letting go and courage to face the darkness of the approaching winter.

“It is a time of conscious selfhood, a time when we celebrate the building and strengthening of our inner life. In many cultures, the autumn time marks the beginning of a new year. The forces of nature are transiting with the autumnal equinox, as the relationship of light and darkness changes in the world around us.”- (Karen Rivers)

Yin Yoga is the dark to the light of yoga –  it is the balance we crave.  Just as Autumn brings us shorter days and more darkness; so does the practice of Yin Yoga. This practice will provide you with an opportunity to reflect on the past seasons and celebrate and harvest what you have learned, plant new seeds of intention and let go of what no longer serves you.  This is what Autumn has always been; a time of reflection and re-connection.

Jamie DeKoning of Little Lights Yoga will guide you through an Autumn themed practice.  We will focus on the element of  Metal – Lungs and Large Intestine– – inner arms, chest, neck (lungs) Outer arm (Large Intestine)l.  The emotional qualities and imbalance are grief and courage .  The heartbeat of this healing is the Drum provided by local Traditional Helper, Dean Johnson.  Dean will also offer a smudge ceremony; the cleansing smoke of this traditional medicine is used to balance energies as well as to heal the mind, body and spirit. The intention of the evening will be to raise your vibration and not only release what no longer serves you but to sit with the dark corners of your soul and shed light on what you can move on from.

Finally, we will hold space for a sharing circle.
